Living in a very tough moment. Waiting for a new appointment with my psychiatrist next week and a new therapist next month, reading lots of self-help books and whatever can help me to overcome my now situation.

I'm thinking about how easy is to offer help when you feel good. When someone come here telling about his/her struggles and you feel some kind of balance in your life, you give suggestions, you offer the best you can about how to overcome a bad moment or how to improve his/her life. You do believe what you say, you do know that any tip (reading an specific self-help book, filling life with significant activities, healthy habits...) can help the person.
But, when you are feeling hopeless, all these messages, all these tips lack of sense for you and sound as a foreign language.

I'm not trying to mean the help you can get from someone is meaningless or unhelpfull, in fact I think it's very necessary for the one who offers and the one who receives it. I only wanted to give the view of the person who is in a desperate situation. How hard is for him/her to find any relief when (s)he is in a stuck moment.

I can agree with what you say - I've posted and hopefully helped someone who needed to be listened to or encouraged. And, I've had a few times when I needed my own advice, but didn't listen...it was hard to listen....

You are so right.

And this is exactly why I write my positive thoughts down. Because they are my most accurate ones.

That way when I am depressed.

I can remind myself that the Intrusive Thoughts - Simply aren't real.

Mind is so powerful that there are moments when you see everything very clear but there are others when you don't find any sense at all.

This is the first time I write in a board being depressive. I normally hide this side of me and only want to give people my optimistic side. I don't know why the change. Perhaps, I'm now more open to share with people everything. Or perhaps, I only wanted people to think: hey, this woman is very possitive and optimistic. A way, as any other, to fill my ego.
Evething is done for a reason.

I don't want to seem a superwoman anymore. This leads me to avoid everything when I feel bad or low.

What do you mean, Hooligan? You write your possitive thoughts down when you feel well and you read them when you are low or...

Forgive me, I didn't read your post properly. It often happens to me.
I understand you now.

I don't use to write my possitive thoughts down any place other than here...i have a journal app in my i-phone and I only write down the bad situations in my life...i think my journal, at this rate, is going to fall into a depression.
