hi im hopefully going to the doctor on monday, if i can get an appointment, to talk about BPD and about being diagnosed if i have it.
im terrified because my wife has told me if i dont get diagnosed or help then she will leave me.

i dont know what to say to the doctor. its hard to put it into words.

Could you maybe make some notes about the key things that you want to say?
Or write everything down and just show the doctor?
Might take the edge off the worrying.
Sorry to hear it's a difficult time.

While I think it's a good idea to get diagnosed I totally do not agree with someone holding it over your head with leaving you if you don't. I'm sorry I lived that way for many years of my life and believe me, even if you have issues, the fact that a spouse will use this card to threaten and manipulate you speaks volumes to the idea that she probably has issues of her own and probably should have therapy too.

Trust me even with the dx the threats will not stop and just from your short post I can say to some degree that your marriage probably needs therapy too.

Please do not take it on yourself as your issues being the sole reason for issues in your relationship. 99% of the time it's only part of the problem.
