It's hard being unable to make friends, just to have someone to share things with. I so often just want to ask "How is your day?" and have someone ask about mine.
But I cannot cope with commitment, responsibility, demands. I can't even get a cat. The responsibility exhausts me, then I get so overwhelmed and get so depressed that I can't cope with life. So I know I have to be alone. ![]() |

You don't have to be alone on PsychCentral. There are many here willing to listen and ask how your day has been. Keep posting and you will make friends.

I know the feeling, but keep trying, you don't have to overdo it, noone expects you to hang out and talk 24/7 with them. Maybe get a penpal / e-mail pal? Or attend some weekly class where you can meet people but no need to get strings attached immediately.
