I know our emotions are deep & extreme so I'm trying to be calm & patient.
I need meds for pain control. I'm 59 and have acquired different physical problems during my life that cause me pain. Pain that controls what I can & can't do. My GP is trying to change me from using Tylenol #3 to something else. She wants me off it because she says it's addictive and my Pharmacist says causes nausea. I do have a terrible problem with nausea so I am willing to try another med. As for the addiction - I've been using Tylenol #3 for years. I have never needed more & more so I don't think that I'm addicted. Most months I don't even use the 2 a day if needed that I am prescribed for. We tried an NSAID with stomach protection, but it still set my stomach off into spasm. We talked about Amytriptline, but it reacts too badly with Mirtazepine. So my last word from my GP was that I have to stay on my psych meds. What does that mean? I'm trying to get something for pain relief. My GP can't see me for at least another week. Why is she using me like this? |

I'm sorry for your pain. Your doctor seems to care for your welfare but it may seem hard right now but she is trying to get you in a better place with less problematic medications. Hang in there.
