Hi, excuse me for my bad english since english isnt my native language. I'm in the first weeks of my new antidepressant and the love of my life ended our relationship all out of the sudden. He told me he wasn't in love with me anymore after we've had a fight this weekend. He also told me there is no hope at all anymore that we'll be coming back together. I totally crashed down after hearing that. I've been crying ever since (it happened yesterday, right before my appointment with my psychiatrist). My psychiatrist prescribed me 3 tablets of Oxazepam to calm me down since I was going crazy when the relationship ended. She only prescribed three tablets so I wouldn't get addicted to them. My next appointment with her is far away, monday. I dont know what to do. I feel so empty and so alone. I cant get my mind of him and what happened, no matter what I do. Please please help me.

Hi kei. Welcome to Psych Central. I am so sorry you are in such pain and distress at the break up of your relationship. You came to the right place for supportive people. BTW your English is as good or better than a native speaker, so be confident of that.

I have suffered a similar break up and there are no words to make the pain go away. But there are ways to self care while you are in the process of healing. I find a routine helps me get through every day. I practice exercise and yoga, mindfulness and breathing, and other supportive activities.

One of the highlights of my day is coming online to Psych Central and either reading others posts and replying or going to the moderated chats. You can quickly get the 5 posts you need to enter the chat rooms by posting replies to other posts or create your own. Depression Chat is Thursday 9pm EST G-4 so midnight or later for you if you can swing it. I sometimes take a nap first so I can be bright and awake. Also Anxiety Chat is on Wednesday 8PM EST G-4. These are moderated chats so the people there are all supportive people so it is a safe moderated environment.

You can also be an active member in other ways like supporting others in their questions, reading articles and posts http://forums.psychcentral.com that are applicable to your area of concern.

Please feel free to private message me or any of the Community Liaisons by left clicking on the name in blue to the left of their post) for questions or just to share.
