I'm 31 and have never been diagnosed with BPD. I feel like I fit the description though.
Everytime I went for help its always been Anxiety, depression, eating disorder, drug addiction.
I never told them about my cutting though. And its always been sifferent therapists for each different issue. I am going to get my doc to refer me to the therapist again. (last time when i finally got an appt. with her, we cancelled because i felt "better".)
I go through high and lows like crazy, but it not bipolar, cause my mood can change in an instant with no reason.
But would BPD not have shown up in childhood or early adolsence?
I feel crazy all the time and BPD just seems to fit.

I wasn't diagnosed until my late 20s. Before, it was masked by my depression and anxiety, by being a teenager, and maybe by their lack of awareness/knowledge. Therapists also tend not to diagnose BPD until adulthood.

BPD can cause mood swings, but that can also be a part of the depression and anxiety. Irritability, agitation, those can be symptoms of depression. How much sleep do you get on a regular basis? How long have you been sober from drugs & alcohol? There are a lot of things that could be going on, not necessarily a PD. Not to say you don't have one, no one can diagnose you on a message board but if this is a more recent thing and you never had problems with any of the other traits associated with BPD then more than likely it's something else.
