How do you make friends and what do you do with your time? I have more time than I know what to do with and I get so bored sometimes that I start having terrible thoughts. I don't work so that makes it more difficult. I've been looking for a job but it's slow. I am in college but just one class. I go to many appointments and I have a boyfriend but besides that not much is going on and I really need more activities to do but I only seem to have fun these days when it's with other people but there aren't many people in my life.

Read....a lot. Teach yourself new things.

I advise this because it's exactly what I do. Lol

Get a job, volunteer, join a Meet-up group, take more classes, say hello and strike up conversations with people you come into contact with.

I don't make friends often. When I'm not working, I take care of my pets, read, and game. I only talk to my friends sometimes because I can't truly be myself with them because I don't share my issues. I spend a lot of time feeling disconnected from people, even when in with them. Because there is always the conditional wall between us. I can only be the parts of myself that they will accept unless I want to risk rejection or abandon the connection. So it goes.

I am not the one you asked, but I recommend reading peter levine "in an unspoken voice". It is a book about trauma and trauma therapy. [I found it very useful for me.]

im with lobster hands

i like to read... i read everything that i find the slightest bit interesting to soak up information like a sponge... even though i have a bad memory, i figure it must store somewhere in the brain some how.. plus it passes time...

but im a nerd so i get into weird stuff that most people might find boring... i like science, physics, paranormal, psychology, ect ect...
i used to read alot of science fiction but i haven't read any of those in a long time..

playing some video games also helps to distract the mind to pass time less painfully..
you can download Steam and search through the free games and download random ones or check out some of the Visual novels they have on there they can be interesting too sometimes..

Ahhh, you could choose a language to learn! That would be fun. I had to stop studying my favorite languages (though it won't be forever) because I no longer had enough time to devote to it.

What do you love?
I love women, music, motorcycles and restoring anything I find interesting so i do that... I have turned this into a living and I am finally happy (almost) I play guitar, bass, drums and anything can get my hands on eventually and i do staging seasonally on the side. maybe you can learn to play a (whatever) learn to ride a bike (you know what I i mean) I'm working on the woman thing after 5 years in hell learning all about bpd the hard way and it sure pissed off my dad waisting 2 degrees starting my own business remodeling houses and then restoring old cars and building Harley's in my rare spare time (#pissoffdadbonus) all pay well, all part time.
These are what I love and I don't feel like I work, I just have fun doing what i enjoy most but I have made many mistakes figuring this out, hard lessons that I have been trying to fix for some time, I'm almost 50 and never been married, I only just figured out what i want to do when I grow up, I have 2 boys, 1 year apart (29&30) 2 baby mama's, 7 grandchildren and im a grown kid... Who wouldn't want to share a life like that? Joking, I'm a professional dater and a crazy ***** magnet... Never, ever a boring moment. Maybe we could learn from each other? I hope this helps, I'm probably your opposite. Good luck
