Things have been really rough lately. I've been extremely unstable to the point I'm not quite sure I trust myself anymore. I texted my therapist and she believes I should go inpatient for the time being. What have your experiences been with hospitals? I've only been to the ER, and that was when I was 15, for suicidal ideation during the school day. Other than that, I've always been very terrified of hospitals and never allowed myself to go to one even though there were many times I probably should have been in one. My biggest fear is having to stay longer than I think I need to. Is it possible to stay for only a few days? Or do they get to keep you until they deem you stable enough to leave?

I've gone to the hospital inpatient three times. They only kept me 8 days each time while they tried meds on me.
I was terrified to go the first time. But I found out that it really wasn't remotely as bad as I had feared. The 2nd time was completely necessary and the best experience of the three. The 3rd time was at the same hospital as the second. But I could tell that they've been subject to budget cutting already. There weren't as many groups as there were in the first two stays, and the patients formed little cliques. It wasn't a very good experience, but I needed it. |

I've hated it but sometimes are want and are needs are two different things just don't mess around in there and you'll do good also you don't want to stay to long usually after short term care doesn't work you go to long term

My boyfriend has been monitoring me since it's the weekend and will see how I'm doing when Monday comes around. My therapist told me the name of a hospital that admits people who don't have insurance, which is me right now, so at least that's an option. She really wants me to get on a new med regimen.

My 3xpwrienxe being in a mental hospital and working for one, is a boring vocation. Sleep, eat, shower, attend groyp, see a psychiatrist and get meds ovulated. Yes, they let you out based on your stability. But can be a time out that you need. And their is usually someone their with the same issues. It's not bad.

Have you ever thought of going to a day program, I have been in inpatient and the day program and I would rather go to the day program, You go in the morning and come home in the afternoon, Its everything you would do inpatient but you get to come home at night, I like that better
