I am diagnosed with BPD... my husband almost makes it and got Personality Disorder NOS. We moved in with my uncle who is seperarated from his wife, he couldn't stand to be alone. He told me he's diagnosed with a PD, but doesn't know which one. I personally think it's BPD...

Me, my husband and my uncle are highly emotional creatures... lately we've all been goofy... but I'm afraid things are going to tear apart eventually!!! Will such a household have a chance to survive?

Professionals believe that both my brother and my mom likely have BPD (especially my mom), so growing up that would have made the three of us. I won't go into details, but it did not work out. That doesn't mean it necessarily has to be that way for everyone. Are either of you in therapy?

I just started therapy, the lady said that I can bring them in if I want, this small town doesn't offer DBT, but this therapist is used to BPD patients, i think my uncle needs therapy badly, and my anger issues are working both up.

I think it would be a good idea to bring them in so she can communicate with all of you at once, as well as individually. It's good she's at least used to patients with BPD, but I also hope that means she's equipped to deal with some of the more severe symptoms that come with it and won't just "tolerate" it. Sorry to hear you can't get DBT in your area. You can work through DBT handbooks on your own, since that helps some people, but I personally need a lot of guidance with it.
