So badly stressed out. New landlord took over this building several months ago and since then made my life (and hubs)a living ****. Just because we are on disability he acts like we are stupid, talks to us like we are idiots. We have a lot of problems with this apartment and he refuses to fix any of them. Trying to keep it civil is a no go. Talking to him is like trying to talk to a brick wall. My poor furbabies are feeling the stress. Its that bad.

When he decided to call our disability worker, that was the last straw. We officially gave our notice out of this dump. However we have nowhere to go. Not the wisest choice but better than the alternative of staying here and hubs ending up in jail. Especially when the stupid landlord told the cop that hubs hit him and his gf said he threatened her. Yeah not sure what planet they are living on but it isn't earth. Time to get out of this ****. Just needed to get this off my chest. Literally at times like this, you know who your true friends are

Horrible! I am so sorry to hear this. I would like to write a longer response but it'll have to wait until later.

I do know you have tenant rights in Canada - not to go after your landlord - but in the event he tries something malicious - might be a good idea to review your rights in case you have to defend yourselves.

I hope you find something non-toxic to reside.

Thanks,
HD7970ghz

I am sorry this is going on. I hope you find somewhere to live quickly. I also hope that you can report this dirt bag for what he is. Most places do allow tenant to have rights. Maybe you could look into this too. I would be stressed out too bc I too am disabled and I know what it I s like to try to move and not have the money to afford to do so nor have the energy to do the very physical work of packing and trying get everything together.

My landlord changes the rules whenever it suits him and it is very annoying, so I know somewhat what you at going through. But I cannot afford a car and this apartment is close to my favorite and most needed stores, so I stay.

I really hope you can find somewhat that will be a peaceful comfortable place for you.

Thanks everyone. Have some really good news. Because of someone we know who put on a good word for us, we found a place. A lot better healthier environment then we are in. Secure building and everything. So excited. This landlord is gonna a freak because we are moving before our 60 days. Because of the harassment and the maintenance. Plus if my husband hits him, hubs will be going to jail. Can't have that. Its better this way. Prayers work
