I have been seeing a psychologist for about a year now and treating symptoms of Bipolar II disorder. He has been very reluctant to confirm or officially diagnose that i'm bipolar but i have been convinced that it is what i have. I just joined the site the other day and came across some threads about BPD. Through a bunch of quizzes, reading and research i seem to have just as many if not more symptoms of BPD than Bipolar. They are very alike in symptoms and tho i have the "up's & mostly downs" of Bipolar II i seem to be more BDP with everything else. It seems as though i could have multiple diagnosis's.

Hi, Dillweed, and welcome to Psych Central! Some of the symptoms are the same-and some of us have both diagnoses, like I did. As you say, some meds can be the same, too. So it might be hard to say.

I'm also BP II and wondering if I might be borderline on top of it. But as far as I know getting that as an additional diagnosis wouldn't do much because the treatment is pretty much the same?
