To be diagnosed with BPD you only need to meet 5/9 criteria. It is quite possible that you could have it, or even just traits of it. There is no shame in having BPD, despite the stigma against it. Honestly from the posts you have made here, it doesn't seem like an impossibility. Try to keep an open mind.

What if you do have borderline personality disorder? What would the effect be on your life? I'm genuinely asking.

Have you been evaluated for any other mental health or just borderline personality disorder ? What made you be evaluated for that ?
Have you spoke to your ex and asked him why he thinks you have BPD ? How long were you together ?

Ok anonymous, you don’t have bpd.
I’m guessing you didn’t post here to be proven wrong.

Having your lover leave is hard.
Is there any hope for the relationship in the future?

I think the anonymous poster is gone now... Deleted account maybe?

I just wanted to chime in and say that there are MANY different traits of Borderline PD that coincide with other illnesses...

Also - heartbreak hurts. If we looked at all humans after a romantic breakup, most if not all of them would meet some criteria for Borderline PD! Sometimes we need to remember to give ourselves a break from diagnosis in general as it doesn't always take into considering the NORMAL reactions to ABNORMAL events piece; a hallmark of PTSD and trauma, which Borderline PD is also correlated with.

Anyways,

No one can tell you, you have borderline personality disorder on here. I'm not sure if you seen a doctor about it.

If someone suggested you had bpd with good intentions then maybe you should try be open minded about trying to understand what someone* meant by that.
Regardless, you should thank that person because if your partner left you already without a real diagnoses than he was definitely not the love of your life.
