An example would be this one thing I'm anxious about. It's some kind of family favor where me, my mom, and my grandma are supposed to appear in a video, and I know it's not that big of a deal, but my mind's reaction is pretty much "REEEEEEEEE HOMEWORK JUST LIKE WHEN I WAS AT SCHOOL BEING TREATED TERRIBLY REEEEEEEEE!1!1!1!1!1!1!1!"

Sometimes listening to music makes me more anxious, and the German language (which I'm trying to learn).

my father criticizing the way my husband and I live our lives. Luckily, it's not about everything, but for every 10 visits, 9 of them there is at least one instance of him commenting on something we "should" do.

My job. Or, rather, people scrutinizing how I do my job. On one hand, I am a nurse so I expect to be scrutinized for safety and quality reasons. On the other hand, I have some coworkers who do it just because they want to pick apart and find fault with what I do, even when I'm doing an awesome job. It is counterproductive.

Driving. Even a short distance. I start thinking of all the intersections and traffic. Then, every possibility goes through my head. Every scenario that could happen during my trip. I’m sure my heart rate soars.

^ ha! I was just going to say driving, but it's specifically driving with my father and not all the time, but just when we need to go somewhere and there are other people/other distractions, well I get anxious he's going to forget or no think to ask if I need to make a stop. So I anxiously await my turn to speak. I guess you could say I get anxious in small groups of people when there is no rhyme or reason and I have to anxiously wait my turn or wait for the appropriate time to speak. I guess that's social anxiety.
Oh yes, and another post reminded me, I too get anxious waiting for someone to reply. It's not in person though. It's when I have to wait for an email or a phone call kind of thing. (Suppose this is a little less random, but it's a big anxiety trigger) |

for the most part, the things that make me anxious are valid- crowds, or leaving the house, or certain triggers I have (fire)
I think the most random thing is being anxious over a fake sinario which will probably (99.9 percent) not happen. I'll obsess over something that I somehow thought of, and push it right to the front of my mind- despite it never happening at all making my anxiety pointless. I also get really anxious over clean surfaces or places- I think part of it's obvious (I am alergic to chemicals in bleach), but part of it's just... weird. I don't know why |

i'm anxious over people hovering over me. Not sure if that's the random thing I was thinking of, but it made me anxious today, even though I wasn't doing anything wrong. hmm

The Wal-Mart near where I live has a ton of windows on the roof. When the sun disappears into the cloud, the store gets remarkably darker. This has always caused anxiety for me for some odd reason, sometimes even causing a strong panic attack that forces me to leave the store.
The only thing I can attribute it to is that I have always had a fear of passing out, or fainting. When things get darker quickly it makes me feel like I am about to pass out, I guess. Like I am blacking out. |
