In your opinion, who are those authors who wrote about this disorder and you consider more reliable?

I don't really have much of an answer for this. The one book, in particular, I can recall reading on the subject was: Lost in the Mirror by Richard A. Moskovitz. I found it compelling. But since it's the only book I can recall reading on the subject I don't really have anything to compare it with.

First of all, thank you.
I saw the book have very positive reviews from readers, specially, from people who were already diagnosed with the disorder. |

You’re very welcome.
As a person who was, from my point of view, misdiagnosed and who think, from the literature I read, that bpd is not always easy to identify and diagnose, I’m trying to learn more about it, mainly to apply it my daily life. I guess some people may find themselves in the same situation. Psychiatrists tend many times to avoid diagnosing someone with bpd bc of the stigma. Sometimes, they give you diagnoses such as, depression, anxiety, social phobia, AvPD, DPD and such. They could be, I mean, they could be there, but as comorbid illnesses, as illnesses displayed by the disorder itself and other times, as trais that overlap the real core. |

I'm actually the one who figured out my diagnosis of BPD; before that, doctors just kept saying it was Bipolar 2 (which I always argued against). In my case, it wasn't that the doctors avoided diagnosing it, rather they didn't know enough about BPD to diagnose it. I don't have the patience to deal with books so instead I Googled news articles comparing the two, then moved onto reliable psychology-based websites, and finally (because I'm that big of a dork?) onto published research papers on the topic. I also read the official entries for the two in the DSM-V. If you're looking to see whether BPD things apply or not, I loved reading about example situations to see how I compared in that sense, but those were on the websites I found. |

Yes, I think it was a really great book and an inspiration to me and I wish I could thank her in person!
