Hey, anyone know how to work around intrusive thoughts? Particularly ones centered around anger and/or self-hate?
I seriously just want to go to sleep but I'm stuck in a loop of this and I don't know what all I can do |

Here's a link to one article, from PsychCentral's archives, on the subject of strategies for sleeping better, plus a second one on ways to improve anxiety symptoms that also mentions the problem of having difficulty sleeping:
https://psychcentral.com/lib/14-stra...eeping-better/ https://psychcentral.com/lib/15-smal...iety-symptoms/ Beyond that, the way I typically deal with my own intrusive thoughts is by using a technique which is referred to as compassionate abiding. Here's a link to a description of the practice: https://mindsetdoc.wordpress.com/201...e-abiding-101/ ![]() ![]() ![]()

Intrusive thoughts can be treated with medication. Geodon helped me. Good luck.

I wonder if my persistent worries and upset over sad things I see in the news could be considered intrusive thoughts? It’s that or it’s just anxiety which I have lived with for as long as I can remember.
