I do this. Lately I’ve been trying not to do it. I think it’s my people pleasing, perfectionist side not wanting to upset anyone or say something stupid. ![]() ![]() |

Nope, I don't. I do sometimes stop myself from replying when I've started typing up a reply, but once I've posted I don't go back and delete it, even if I have some regret. To me it's about owning what I've said and if I offend someone I should apologize and try to correct it, not hope it goes away if I remove it.

I do sometimes but not often enough. I treasure the anonymity found here because I can be honest and open about almost everything ( except so). I don’t have to pretend to be anything I am not. Sometimes I over share and make myself too vulnerable and worry about it. But then the post gets support from others and I feel better about it. I don’t think 🤔 you are alone in this though. In fact my therapist suggested that sometimes just writing out my feelings can be therapeutic in itself. In order to write it out, I have to think about it in a more organized way. And then seeing the words in black and white can bring clarity too. Additionally, getting the feelings out of me allows me some distance between me and them and that makes them not as overwhelming.
So there’s that. Hugs.

I like what you said about “owning” what you’ve said. Seems like a healthy and balanced behavior to me. |

no sometimes what I do is write my post in my writing program first. then wait a bit and if I still feel i want to make that post I copy paste it in the spot for making a post here.
maybe you can do that too. all computers that have microsoft windows of all versions also have note pad and microsoft office. there are other writing programs too. maybe try writing your post in them , then wait a bit and then go back to it. if you still want to post it, its easy to do, just right click copy and paste. that way if it bothers you that you post then delete, this way you can post and not delete because you will have had a chance to think about what you want to post before actually posting. ![]() |

It's probably also worth noting that I typically read my posts over multiple times checking for typos and wording errors, especially if they're long replies, which also gives me more time than others to consider what I'm sending. Only maybe 1 in 50 posts or so I don't send, so it's not that many.

I write and delete posts and messages all the time before they are posted/sent.
My mind is consumed by a million things every moment. Sometimes I need to slow it down. |

I do. I second guess myself a lot, and have a tendency to change my opinion easily.
I also have a habit of deleting my accounts and making new ones out of paranoia that people will recognize me posting so much and judging me for it. :/ Yay to anxiety. |
