Sadly, the cluster b,s pds are the most understood and hated, even amongst the best psychiatrist community. I deeply know how you feel if you need to talk I will pm my phone number

What made you think that they aren’t concerned? Were you put in a waiting list to receive treatment?

I guess the list is in order to do DBT, could it be? I heard there are long waiting lists for this therapy, that btw, it’s a whole programme with an inmate stage, that makes of it a very expensive and a long lasting therapy.
What Unforgiven1 says is true. Even many professionals who have practice and understand well how to work with people affected with bpd, complaints about the reluctant many other professionals are to treat this disorder. I think that the vast majority of these professionals who don’t dare to treat bpd is bc they feel emotional overwhelmed when ever dealt with a patient with this disorder, but this is only my personal impression. Don’t lose hope. Is there any possibility to know which place in the list you are now? And also very important I think is that if you can have access to a help group in your community that practise mindfulness in the meantime, you could have some steps won before hand. Write on a diary all that you need to put outside so you will know yourself better and you will be more able to express what’s in your inner better when you need it, in therapy. Is there a foundation about bdp in Scotland? Here, in Spain, there’s one that is doing a great job. Maybe if there’s one, you could contact it.
