When I was in Primary two
I was a bright and bushy eyed
Little girl who didn't shut up.
Until there was an incident
I was only seven year old
And I knew I was going to throw up
Should I cause a scene running out
Towards the bathrooms?
Can I even make it that far?
No so behind a book case.
And the teacher demands
To know who it was.
To my chagrin she didn't
Do it out of concern
That someone may be Ill
And need to be sent to nurse.
She went near on berserk.
Who was it ? Fess up? Louder, who?
And my friend at the time, Catherine
Said it was me. I was away to crack.
But I must have told someone.
And the kids picked
On me for a whole day or two.
My school was ok.
The teacher left and was replaced.
Imagine I had had an epileptic fit
Or a diabetic turn.
Some kid could have
Been really ill
She treated me like a
Thief who had stolen
Someone's lunch money
