My doc has introduced me to the concept of injecting botox into my neck and shoulders to help with relieving the tight muscles and hopeful relieve the severe nerve pain I have. So my question is who have tried it, what does it feel like, does it hurt, how long does it peak, and does it work for you... I just wanta know

This would be amazing if it works....If anyone has tried it and it is worth it I would love to know...I'm going to see my doc next week I'll ask her about it..though I don't like the idea of bovine poison being pumped into my body

Hi, I've been getting Botox injections for migraines. I've been getting them done every 3 months for quite a few years now. They inject it in my forehead, temples, neck, and back of my head. It is a little uncomfortable but I've felt a lot worse. They do help with relaxing the muscles. If I can answer anything specific let me know.

Have you noticed any specific side effects from having the injections?

Hi, I haven't had any side effects from the Botox injections. The only thing that might happen with me is on occasion I will end up with small bruises at the actual injection sites. They go away fairly quickly. I get the Botox for chronic headaches/intractable migraines every 3 months. I hope others have luck with this also!

Hi again, I also wanted to tell you that my whole Botox procedure (for my head) only takes at the most 15 minutes from start to finish. It ends up being approximately 20 or a few more small injection sites divided mostly between my forehead, temples, and neck. Then what is left goes in the top of my shoulders. It honestly doesn't hurt that bad. It's worth any relief you might get. I hope this helps some!
