Has anyone tried the Mucinex protocol form Fibro ? If so what did it do for you ?

Mucinex, as in the anti-mucus medicine, for fibro? Never heard of it. Care to share?

Speed3, I poked around some on the 'net checking this out. All the reputible places I went said the protocol is bogus. A double blinded study showed it's no more effective than sugar pills. Apparently the idea has been around since the 90's. There's never been any evidence to support it, but lots of annecdotal stories. The thing that stuck out for me was people saying it made their symptoms cycle. Well, how the heck is that any different than the cycling we experience with fibro to begin with?

Yeah, I looked at it all too. This came up by a man who thought he figured out how to treat fibro. I believe his study was flawed not to mention, who the hell can afford that much mucinex anyway???
