Thought I'd "check in" with a progress report. Seems that I've come so far, these past few weeks. I've gone from being nearly incapacitated and house-bound with pain and anxiety issues, to functioning beyond all my hopes. I'm deeply grateful, and humbled. This has been the lengthiest stretch for me. Not the first; but the longest & most difficult. Tuesday, I established my initial visit with a good Primary-Care physician who seems to be very understanding and compassionate. They are coordinating a comprehensive treatment plan. Additional M.R.I.s, neurological work-up, physical therapy. I'm very pleased and so relieved to have accomplished this. It will take some time to process it all. I've come so far. My Journey has been a very long and difficult one. I'm trying now to "Live in the moment," and try to relax, reflect a little bit and get my "bearings." It's quite a thrill for me now to go about the every-day mundane chores like grocery shopping. Going to go and have my hair cut later today. "Born Again." To be deeply appreciative and grateful for the simple things! I am almost awed as I'm recognizing the "Silver Lining" within this recent cloud.... I appreciate too, all of the encouraging feed-back from others here at PsychCentral. May others who might read this take heart and see that although things can seem to be so very bleak and hopeless, hang on; it's always possible that things will change for you. Thanks, all.

Thanks for the positive messages. I sure hear you on how thrilling being able to do everyday chores can be! Remembering to be grateful for simple things helps me too.

Dear History Chief, Its a true blessing to appreciate the simple things like going and getting a hair cut. I totally get it, and have had times myself where things that others would assume were just natural were quite difficult. Its these times that the most support is needed and you truly do determine who your real friends are. Im so happy to hear of your positive outcome and hope it continues. Remember though don't overdo it.

So good to hear your news!

I know you have worked hard to get this kind of thing in motion for yourself. I'm so glad you were able to stick to it and now begin to reap the benefits!

May every day be a day of celebration of the "mundane" things

You are in my thoughts for continued success!
