Hi pc friends wanted to give you a up date on my condition, I hade the spinal cord stimulator put in just below my stomach. Right by my bladder which has caused me to lose my bladder control. Also something is going on with my kidnes. Something is pushing on them don't have that test back yet. Will keep you posted. Back when I hade my back I surgery I hade 4 pinched nerves. Only 2 could be fixed the other two could not. I'm gonna have to get the spinal cord stimulator taken out and see if they can do the surgery on the other two pinched nerves. My other option is to put a ron in my spine. I had lower back surgery a long time ago. So it is what it is have a smile on my face despite the pain. Love avoice

Obviously they put the stimulator in the BAD PLACE!!! I had one also, for 6 months, but I had to have it taken out because it made the pain worse ~~ but also the darn thing started working itself OUT of me. I didn't have enough "fat" content in my body to hold it IN.

They put mine in the LEFT side, just under my waist line over on the side. It didn't cause any problems other than it was coming out. ICK.

Just a word of warning ~~ If you have another surgery, you will undoubtedly have to have ANOTHER surgery after that because the level below the surgery site will FAIL -- this is called the "domino" effect. It happens all the time!!! The doctors don't tell you about this cause they want to be able to do more surgery!!

You would do better to have physical therapy -- and you would probably get the SAME RESULTS as you would with surgery. The American Medical Association said that people who have had surgery & fusions get the same results with physical therapy as they do with surgery!! In other words, we all have NEEDLESS SURGERIES. I had 2 surgeries and each time, the level below failed. Of course the doc didn't tell me about the possibility.

Best of luck in whatever you choose to do. God bless. Hugs, Lee

My opinion is that once you have surgery you always have to have more. I'm so sorry this didn't work for you.

I won't have any back surgery until they figure out what they're doing...obviously, they haven't yet

(((((((((( avoice ))))))))))

I'm sorry you are in so much pain avoice...it seems so senseless at times to have procedures done to you, only to find out it really is making matters worse instead of better, and the pain is something you will live with for a long while. I will be praying that you will find respite for your pain!
