Every part of me aches, my fingers, thumbs, neck, back, hips, knees, ankles, toes. Just every part, non stop. I crack when I move and that hurts too. Woe is me. It's grinding me down.

(((Pegasus)) - sorry you're in pain. Has your doctor made a diagnosis? Hoping you find some relief.

Here's a gentle hug and hopes that the docs can find something that will be more successful in controlling your pain.

Awwww that's painful. My sister inlaw has this and had to try several medications and treatments before finding some relief. Sorry to hear you have this ((Pegasus)).

Have you tried turmeric? A friend of mine takes it for her arthritis and she said it is really helping her. I give it to my arthritic bunny. we use organic turmeric spice that is available at all health food stores in the bulk section. here is an article-- Turmeric for Arthritis?
Thanks for this!

I'm so sorry pegasus. That's a rotten disease. You don't deserve to hurt. Are your doctors addressing your level of pain? Please be honest with them about how much you hurt. I am sure you are taking medicines already. Have you tried anything like electrical stimulation, or diathermy? Do you have a dehumidifier in your home? Sometimes that helps if summer humidity is a factor in flare ups. I hope you will get some relief soon.
Thanks for this!

Very, very, very, very bad day today. Left it too long again. I can't cope with this.

Hi Pegasus
I too have rheumatoid arthritis and know what you must be going through. What do you take or do for pain relief? Are you taking any steroids for the flare?

Pegasus, I'm so sorry you are in so much pain. My mother had rheumatoid arthritis, and I know she was in constant pain. She was limited on what they could try with her due to a heart condition, but I know there are medicines out there for it that might help. Hope they find something that works for you.

I also have it, i recently tried yoga, which did help, i just have to restart it as i stopped it for awhile. I am on Loritabs, but my doc wants me to get the epidural, but i said no because of the menningitis scare. He explianed a thing called a Tens that massages the pain electronically, and told me to try that.

I take meloxicam (anti-inflammatory) and zapain (codeine 30mg/500mg paracetamol.) Doc said the next step is chemo drugs which I don't want, so I struggle on. I hate that every waking minute I am in pain.

Pegasus, am sorry you're in such pain, it is a cruel disease.
I have RA, got dx in 1994. By 2000 couldn't work anymore.
In 2004 changed rheumatologist & wanted me to try methotrexate (an older cancer drug).
It has been the best thing yet for me. Knocks the inflammation way down, in fact I go into a remission, so to speak.
Meaning symptoms are tolerable & lab work is good, sed rate might be slightly elevated but doesn't make symptoms any worse. The side effects are minimal.
I have never been on anything narcotic for pain. Not saying I didn't need it or want it, they just don't use narcotics here in States unless someone is severe or post surgery.
This is just my experience, so strictly personal choice.
Wish so much for you to be in less pain.
Take care.
