<font color="blue"> Well, I had an opportunity to help out at a special gathering (outdoors)...it isn't a secret society but usually only members are invited...I'm not a member... the weather was great and I knew many of the ppl who would be there... so I went.
I went at lunch time, came home and showered and went to bed for the afternoon, and then went back out at night for the dinner. I KNOW I overdid... it was one of those decisions you know? You trade off the social activity for the increased pain... easy for me to say NOW...as I'm not in unmanageable pain right now. The others out there noticed I was taking meds along the way... sigh... but I kept the pain under a level 10. I'm home again, of course, showered hot water again and in bed again...ice packs and more meds... I will be trash tomorrow and probably a few days and maybe all week... but if the pain doesn't take off on me... it will be a good trade. I haven't had such good social contact in the outdoor environment in many, many years! I told a few of them that and how much I appreciated them inviting me along. (Group of about 300 total I think.) time to change to heat pad now  Remind me of the good stuff if I go bezerk with pain, ok?

I totally understand where YOU are coming from and I have been there many times over...... Hang in there and do what you need to do to relive the pain now and do not worry about the day.... for YOU had FUN!! (and) as always I am sure that you needed to get out of the house.... as we all do from time to time. LoVe, Rhapsody - (((( hugs ))))

Sky, hi.
I am sorry you have to go through this pain. I also suffer from a chronic pain disorder, so I can feel you. I am glad though you had good time. It is much needed. Take Care!

Thanks folks... I'm doing "ok" today considering
 I was still careful yesterday ..lifted things properly, didn't lift anything above 5lb nor push or pull anything, and either squatted or bent at the hips to pick something little up from below the knees... just so much activity in 3 1/2 hours... yeah... looks like if I stay in bed today with ice packs and meds, I'm going to "get away" with it.

<font color="blue"> well, physical therapy today...every vertebrae in my spine was out! crunchy me. sigh All but the ilia are back into place..for awhile anyway. Another big day tomorrow, with additional MD appt. (And I think I have bronchitis again.) A meeting one night this week...oh and the cable guy coming I hope this week...and the rest is REST! I need to eat...
 where do I find the energy for THAT??? lol

glad yo got away with "it" kiddo. I too trade off bits of my future for creating a great memory today. The memory lasts wayyyyyyy longer than the pain. good job!!!
