This is a great forum that has been added to PC. I have to admit that I feel a bit .guilty coming to this forum because right now & for the last 4 years, I am now on a high dose of the duragesic fentynal patches that keeps me from having any pain. The patches get changed every 72 hours & so far, I haven't even had any breakthrough pain. When I found that this dose worked this perfectly for me, I felt like a miracle actually happened. I had gone for 8 years with having migraines that never went away. I had continual level 10 pain except for when I was lucky enough to find a nice Dr in the ER that was willing to give me a 200mg demoral shot. The strange thing was that before that time, I never even had a headache let alone a migraine. The pain never started until I started taking antidepressants (whether there is a connection or not, I will ever know).

I completely can relate to the pain levels that you all are experiencing & the frustration of not being able to find anything to control that pain.

Hope you all can find some better relief that you seem to have at this point in time. It seems like there has to be an answer...it is just a matter of finding it.

I also have pain started when I was knocked into a machine( rock crusher ) It almost cut my right leg off. I was Laid up for about 1 1/2 years The one thing I have found that helps is Tai Chi . going slow and doing the movements massage the mucles. I do want to thank Doc John for this area.
