Today for my birthday I go a massage and I told the lady about my chronic headaches. When she was massaging my neck she did something and asked if it recreated the pain of the headaches. It did! She then told me that my headaches were most likely being caused by tension in the neck muscle called the sternocleidomasoid (my favorite muscle from my anatomy class, I love the way it sounds).
Then she very kindly proceeded to show me how to massage it so that I can work out the tension when I get headaches.
This makes me so happy! I just had to share

I know that there are many many many different causes for headaches, but if you get chronic headaches that you think might be because of tension built up in your neck, I'd suggest trying this
