Yes. Just curious what you're doing for treatment, because mine is not really working. I first tried Physical Therapy, Acupuncture. Then, I got a neurologist. I got put on 2 preventative meds and have meds for when I get an attack. I do trigger point injections and occipital nerve blocks, but they usual only last 2 days. In about a month, I'll be getting Botox for the third time. It really doesn't do anything for me. I'm at a loss. What are you doing for treatment?

I've tried the physical therapy, headache clinic, neurologist and meds as well and didn't get anywhere as far as any of them helping ... I haven't tried botox but from what I've heard don't think it would work for me. Wish I had something better to suggest for both of us

I've always had headaches more often than I thought was normal, and over the last year it's become almost a consistent state of being. Luckily, my migraines are less frequent and always warn me about onset with aurora.

I have found cayenne pepper to help, but it doesn't last long enough. Not much else has worked, I'm afraid.

Have you seen a neurologist? Sorry if that's a dumb question...also JUST noticed this was not your thread to begin with (oops). How do you "take" the cayenne pepper? Thanks!

Purple Sinatra,

I take Excedrin when I feel one coming on and apply ice to my head (20 mins on/off). I also take Topamax 125 mgs a day for prevention (prescribed by my dr)...it works very well!

How did the botox work the 3rd time?

I have also suffered from migraines and did the mother and 2 sisters of mine. Have seen docs for years with varying degrees of success. In PA, a doc used verapamil and I have been pretty good...80 mg to 240 daily. I have taken everything from amerge to maxalt to imitrex and sumatriptans.but when became over 50-they wont prescribe anymore.... latest neuro plays with sprix nasal inhaler, but it doesn't seem to help too much at all (and is not covered by insurance- over $225 per month just for that). when the migraine lasts more than 5 days, I got to patient first and usually get a toradol shot and anti-nausea shot and it goes away.... but I am on so many meds and have been over the years that my body is just damned tired......ya know???...thanks...sorry for the rant!!!! have a relaxed evening.....nice foot rub...aaaah...oh anyway lol...see ya
