My mom, after I was given a second diagnosis that is probably going to have me in a wheelchair in a few years, said "Not to be selfish, but this isn't fair to me either." And thinking about it is making me sick.
My brother was ill before he died and we all took care of him, we ALL did. I didn't ask to be the trope of "next sick adult kid", it just god damn happened. I am so tired of being in this body that brings so many people shame and annoyance and frustration when they don't even know what it's like to wake up every morning and just crying because it feels like every bone is splitting open and there isn't a single drug or fix to make it better. I love how I get to listen to how unfair it is by people who aren't me, who aren't missing out on being a god damn 20-something and staying alone constantly. Yeah. It must be so unfair being able to have a life.

I'm sorry you don't have the support you need, while going through the pain you do. It is terrible all the things you have had to miss out on, especially at your young age. There's no way anyone can make those things up to you.
There are a lot of people on PC that have had to deal with unfair and tragic childhoods. Who are still trying overcome the pain and anguish that was caused to them. I'm so glad that we have a place to come to get help and support, when no one else will listen to us. I'm glad you're here even through your pain. Wish I could do something that would really take away your pain but all I have are words to let you know someone is listening. ![]()

Good luck to you in the coming time and I do hope you get better as opposed to getting worse. I would imagine in this situation there is a grieving period for both you and your family. I will admit that what your mother said was pretty brutal and down right awful so I can understand why it makes you sick. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and I hope things will get better for you.
