I have chronic pain and a back injury which also means that my pelvis can twist and rotate. I have not yet spoken to my physio or doctor but I believe that when my pelvis is out of place it causes some restrictions internally

Problem is I would love to have a baby but I am terrified I will not cope. Because I can only theorise that pregnancy would add more strain and my body and in turn cause more pain, but that I would have to reduce my pain meds considerably for the babies well being

Any advice or personal experience that you are able to share, I would be eternally grateful

BDPpartner, There is no point worrying about something that has not occurred. Make an appointment with your doctor to discuss how being pregnant will effect your body. Also ask if there are safer pain meds you can take.
Thanks for this!

BDPpartner, I understand better now. Best go to the doctor and tell him/her you want to have a baby, but are concerned about your physical problems.

I have a good relationship with my doctor but this is a subject I'm a bit scared of talking to any medical person about it after a bad experience several years ago.

BDPpartner, It may be difficult to discuss this with your doctor, but personally I would rather know how pregnancy would effect my body.
Thanks for this!

Go and talk to your doctor. It may be akward at first but it's nothing that the doctor has not heard of before. Not that I mean to trivialise your situation. I don't, but it would be a load of your mind wouldn't it. I wish you all the best and I hope you have a happy outcome... I really do.
Best wishes.
