has been causing more pain, now it helps my hips and legs, and one side of my back, but it make my other side really hurts. and the. pain goes all the way down my leg. Vicodin also
gives me anxiety, I have tried other meds, but. the make me sick, Vicodin has my stomach so irritated I can't eat very well, but. what I am coming to is. what is a plan for weaning off. I asked my dr he said 1/2. 3 times a day, but I cry a lot, more anxiety,
and depression, and bad bad pain, I've tried. OTC. meds but they don't help. next week I'm starting water therapy, to see if it gives enough relief to help me get off Vicodin. please. ,someone give me some ideas, what did you do, what kind of plans for weaning, and how long did it last. I'm really nervous. I cry all the time. I'm scared of withdrawal.

Hello, sunsup, and welcome to Psych Central! Are you sure Vicodin is causing all these symptoms?

I actually see a doc who specializes in alleviating pain. Maybe you can be referred to one of those docs, who knows how to handle such things.

I also suggest you get a complete check-up. Have you had your spine checked for problems? It can cause symptoms such as pain down the legs.

I have spine problems and fibromyalgia. I take Tramadol, Norco, Tylenol, and Cymbalta for pain. I still have some pain, though. But I need to keep it at a minimum because it triggers my depression. (I have bipolar.)

From my experience, as I have gotten closer to totally getting off of a drug, the withdrawal symptoms tend to get worse.

Please try not to worry about "addiction," by the way, if you have never taken more than has been prescribed. We do what we need to do to get through life.

If need be, though, then you can see about going to some sort of place where they specialize in getting people off of certain drugs.
