I'm glad for you freewill. If you don't mind me asking, what are you taking? I have yet to find anything that helps. I have Flexeril right now after no success with Baclofen. (spelling?)

OOOO I do know the path of muscle spasms, and I feel for you all. One thing that is natural that helps is quinine. Believe it or not (my physical therapist suggested this one.) I bought some in the grocery store right next to the ginger ale! Tonic water with quinine. I forget just why it works, but it has something to do with a lack the muscle has and needs... only a few sips helps me. Just remembered this, and it's well worth a try (and cheap too!) TC

YOu cant get prescriptions for quinine anymore starting this year. The amount of quinine in tonic water is much less but may do the trick.

I have lotsa spasms and would like to try quinine. Where would I purchase it? And how much to take? Do they come in varying strengths? What is quinine anyway?

Did you ask someone? I had to ask in one store, and it was right there. I'm sure it's in health food stores though, too.

I think it's worth pursuing. TC

Withit, Canada Dry brand tonic water has it; quinine is what gives tonic water its "bitter" taste:

I use Zanaflex. 2mg. But only at night because it puts me to sleep.

Haa...talk about muscle relaxants..! I've used Soma for years..and just discontinued its Use. Carisopradol is the Generic Name. And yes its a great muscle relaxer and it helps you to sleep. Its chemical make-up is close to Valium..which we all know is an anti-anxiety. I beleive muscle relaxants are very helpful...but only for short term use in my opionion. They always have given me a Hang-over affect in the morning. I have recently replaced the soma with a meditation CD..given by a friend of mine. It really works well for me. The meditation also gives you a positive attitude for the next day..
