I saw a pain management specialist for the first time a few days ago. I felt he didn't spend enough time with me and he wouldn't listen to all my pain problems. He just told me to get some X-rays for my back pain and put me on Seville for overall pain. I later called his office and asked him if I should discontinue Lyrica (which doesn't help), but told me to continue taking it.
Great first start on getting a handle on my pain <<sarcasm>> |

I left an assertive review. We'll see how the next appointment goes. If I'm not satisfied I'll find a new one.

I have been to a few pain docs, and I don't know if it has been just bad luck but not much of anything ever happens. My last visit ended with him saying he didn't think my "pain" meds were all that good... but would have to talk with my family doc ( the prescriber) as he didn't want to take on that role.... NICE why do I go????

I'm making an appointment with my rheumatologis next week. He's written several books. I hope he's good!
I'm lucky so far. I just moved into the area and have been seeing a lot of specialists....I guess there has to be one dork among them ![]() |
