In the middle of the night ...I too often wonder who can hear my silent screaming and flood of tears down my face like a dam that just broke. I guess no one... for the relief never comes and this magical nurse I have conjured in my head that perhaps a good soul called never shows up with the annoying yet comforting noise of the heart monitor the taste of the injection in my mouth and the presence of being in healing hands...,

Since I can't sleep I thought that I'd post an update. My lupus has been flaring big time for the past two months causing complications that nearly killed me six weeks ago. This week has been a rough one with me fighting a high fever of 103.6 and having a grand mal seizure on Tuesday. To top things off I had a reaction to a med which caused me to be covered in hives and puke for two hours straight, thus the reason I am not sleeping. I am ready for the war lupus has declared on my body to be over. I am exhausted. I am in pain. I am barely holding on and fighting this battle.

I don't often post but I keep you all in my daily thoughts and prayers. I know that a lot of us are suffering and I pray for that to ease up.

*Leaves gentle hugs for all that may want or need one*

Wishing you all ease today, wherever and however you need it. Lots of people going through heavy stuff. I'm too scattered to respond to all of it individually but just know that I see you.

I actually walked up to campus and back yesterday, somewhere around 4-6 blocks which is a gargantuan feat for me. I go out again today for a doctor's appointment so I'm a lot more hopeful about it than I was this time last week. I have another appointment tomorrow as well.

Wow! Participation here is up! Sweet! The only problem is I cannot address each participant.

jan, Congrats on the great news!

Blue eyed mama, I am sorry for all you endure.
Cake, Please stay safe.
Kiya, Hi!
Child, You are doing a good job of being patient.
Gus, That was quite a walk! Thanks for the picture!
Shattered,
Spondi,
~Christina,

Went on a day trip with DH yesterday. Colors are muted a bit, yet still beautiful! I was exhausted. We ate out and I was ill through the night. Rested today.

Love to All!

Belle has no idea she's having her surgery tomorrow, so she's just fine. I'm trying not to be a nervous wreck,
but you know how I am about her. I have to go buy special food for her tomorrow while she's in surgery because they have to remove two teeth her abuser broke. The Dr. said since Belle is so afraid of cages, I can hang around until she's ready to go home.
They are going to take her first. Please send good thoughts/prayers our way for tomorrow.

Jan - I am thinking of you and Belle. I will hold you in my prayers tonight and tomorrow.

Gus: I too love fall. To me it holds the promise of change. Plus the colours, the smells, and the air finally cooling after what are generally miserably hot summers...plus the rain, the rain, the rain...my favourite.

Wild:

to the rest of you would like them. Hoping your days have been, at the very least, manageable.

Well, it's official y'all: my doctor concurs with me that I do in fact have fibro. I don't know why I'm so happy about that. I guess because it's validation that all of this stuff I've been experiencing since I was about 18 (before that actually, but acutely since I was then) is not all in my head. I love my doctor, I absolutely love her to pieces and I am going to be really sad when neither my wife nor I are students here and we have to give her up. (She works out of the university clinic.)

Peaceful dreams, my friends and family.

After literally hours, Belle drank a little bit of water but she won't eat anything. I've given her all her favorite treats but she won't touch food. I can't give her the pain medicine without food and she's shaking with pain. Liz, if you're there,
or if anyone of you knows what I can do, please write back to me.

With confusion coming in and ability to write/say coherent thoughts Keelung away, I want to tell you all that you mean a lot to me- just in case one day I can’t say it. Or can’t remember you. You’ve all touched my heart and helped me along my path.

Jan one time when Sunny the cat got real sick and they told me he had to eat to get better and to give him his meds I had to use can cat food from the vets office and use a syringe to force feed him. It worked but it was messy and it took a lot out of both of us but it worked.

Ususally the first day out of surgery is the worse.

Good luck and keep us posted
