I had plans to accomplish some things today. Going to spend it curled on the sofa wishing... well, can't say what I'm wishing. The cold front that slammed the midwest is approaching here triggering a major flare for me. Would someone just shoot me and end this?

I hurt like crazy and am crabby and grumpy. Mikey wanted to cuddle with me earlier, but I kept putting him down on the floor. I don't eve want to snuggle with furbabies. I just want the world to leave me the F alone!

*Sigh* this too shall pass.....

Liz I hear you. Our weather is hot one day then storming the next every inch of me hurts and I feel bad when I can't do the most simple things like unload the dish washer. My hubby is really good and will go get dinner etc but even my hair hurts and I just want to cry and this is going to be a long week with court coming up.

Take care everyone

Today is a new, and better, day. The cold front moved through last night. I'm still exhausted, but I think that's from work last week. Pain level is back down to background noise.

Gus, do you have anything at all you can take to make yourself go to sleep for the test? How about Advil PM or Nyquil? Thank you for the beautiful pictures. They are so lovely.

Cake, I'm with the others. I would much rather hear about your troubles than not hear from you at all.

Christina, it's good to hear from you. I have missed you.

Liz, I am so glad your pain is down. Good news, indeed!

I have some great news. I went by myself today to find out if I have non-alcoholic cirrhosis. I don't! In fact, I have lost so much weight that I am no longer technically classified as having Fatty Liver Disease. I am so blessed. I hadn't told any of you about it because I was so worried and had some major decisions to make if the results were positive.

Well, Belle is doing well, but her Vet said she needs a "Greenie" a day for her teeth. The one other variety she mentioned is made by Milk Bones and she wasn't too thrilled with those. Well, I want Belle to have the best, and I bought some Greenies, but I just have to take them back. The costs of the oral surgery, the costs of the van breaking down and having to make payments in cash for the part and repairs... The podiatrist had me buy new shoes in the hopes I can stand the pain to walk and my insurance didn't cover the insoles or the medicine.... just everything has piled up in the last two months. I am so careful with my money, but I can't pay that much money for something that will only last her a couple weeks and won't make a major difference. I very carefully brush her teeth every night with chicken flavored toothpaste. It sounds awful to us, but Belle just loves the stuff. She lays on her back on my lap and puts her little head on a soft pillow and we brush and brush. Then she licks her toothbrush all over and gets a treat for being such a good girl.

I held her in my arms last night and cried and explained to her that I am so sorry that I can't buy the Greenies. I feel like I'm not taking good enough care of my baby. Even now the tears fall.

I found some Milk Bone dental chews today and was able to afford them. Belle liked it and that's good. I will take the Greenies back.

I do love you all and I will try to write more often.

Well my daughter had her first court appearance yesterday. I was so nervous about the whole thing that I didn't get any sleep then it was a long day and a lot of walking and I just had my crutch I didn't take my powerchair.

I wish I didn't have to go out today but it's my brother in law's birthday and he's real sick. I believe I told you guys he was dx with a rare form of cancer last January he finished his treatment over the summer but since then he's just gotten worse. He is cancer free but I think he has radiation poisoning. He had surgery to open his throat more he couldn't even get water down. It should have been an out patient thing but he was in the hospital for a week. They sent him home with a feeding tub in his nose and down his throat. Since then he has lost an additional 100 lbs. he was over weight when he started his treatment but since he stopped he's just gotten worse. He can barely talk because of the tube. They are supposed to take it out and put one through his belly button but haven't done it yet. He has not eaten or drank anything in 5-6 weeks and he loves food.

His daughter finely drove down today with her kids to see him. It's been years since we have seen her and he hasn't seen them either. She was supposed to be here for a few days then she wasn't coming then last minute she said she will come for 1 day. She got a hotel room then went to my husband's sister and said that they charged her card twice for the room and now she doesn't have money to drive home. I call bull s**t on that. She knew his work had started a gofundme account for her dad. She ended up getting $400 to help cover her expenses then she cried to my sister in law again that she really didn't have food for her kids while here. She's 30 years old hello. So my sister in law who has Parkinson's went home and packed up a bunch of food for her and her kids and drove it to her hotel. She also had the nerve to ask her sick dad if he would sell his motorcycle and buy her a car since her boyfriend is using hers. I swear I wanted to smack her.

Ok I am down ranting I just don't like people using other people or taking advantage of them it's sad.

The Fibromyalgia check in thread #4

thanks for your concern over my piddling little troubles, Cake, which are trifling compared to your own. i do understand how caring can take so much out of a person... do let us know what the judgement is on your daughter (she better be exonerated, and learn her lesson!).

i have a cousin in ICU with total kidney failure, his immediate family has lost control of his fate... it's all very sad and stressful. and my other cousin, who recently moved here to retire and take care of her elderly parents, has had to put her dad in hospice, and return her mother to Denver (she is demented and violent towards her husband, who is 89 yrs old).

i feel, as you do, that it's a terrible thing to leech off of the dying... i have seen it before, more than once, and it's disgusting... i hope she goes away and doesn't come back,,,

{{{{ Cake~! }}}} please take care of yourself, use your chair, save your strength, you need all the help you can get now~

Cake, I firmly believe that people like your brother-in-law's daughter will get what they deserve in the long run. She sounds like a real "female dog." There were times dealing with my mom's ill health at the end of her life I some times wished there was another family member to help share the load. Then I'd hear a story like this and think handling it on my own wasn't so bad afterall.

Gus, how are your lilacs doing? I miss lilacs living here in the south.

Jan, please don't beat yourself up for "not doing enough" for Belle. She is very lucky to have you. BTW, I love the image of he laying in your lap while you brush her teeth.

I've posted in the past about my frustration with myself over not knowing when to quit. Gonna brag on myself a bit.

I need to go take care of some yard work at my mom's house. (It's actually my house. I inherited it from her, but it sounds stuck up to say "My other house.") I was going to go yesterday after I went riding with a friend. I was exhausted and hurting. I decided to put off the trip until today. I did do some yard work here at home, but knocked off when I got tired! Maybe I'm finally learning!
