@lizardlady ...
I sometimes have tingly sensations - sometimes all over and other times localized (leg, foot, arm, hand). I've often likened the feeling to being fizzy like a soft drink. Haven't noticed if I'm cold/shiver afterwards or if a flare occurs soon after. Hmm ... Gonna have to start paying a little more attention to that! I do know my body is extra sensitive to temperature extremes now. Cold weather especially sucks! |

I'm going to ask my PCP to do an autoimmune panel with my blood work in July.
I know there's something more going on inside my body than just the pain associated with arthritis. I'm wondering if I may have picked up Lyme Disease somewhere along the way and missed the telltale rash ... Or even if I may have Lupus maybe? All the @#$%! going south with my body - and how rapidly it's going ... It's got to be something more than just the arthritis causing all this chronic pain. I'm also fatigued right badly most of the time. I've had very noticeable inflammation in my left arm, hand and thumb joint since May 2nd of this year. The thumb joint is especially tender and it's also warm to the touch at times. I'm just tired of being in pain and feeling tired and run down all the time! |

Pfrog ask your doctor to do a more in-depth blood panel for your thyroid. A basic panel can not show the entire picture. I’d also ask them to do a full hormonal work up regardless of your age. Also have them check for vitamin B levels... a friend was feeling just lousy all the time and she had virtually no B vitamins despite eating well ... She was put on prescription supplements and slowly over 3-4 weeks she recovered and felt like a new person. I have zero detectable level of vitamin D unless I stay on my vitamin.
Doctors mostly just check CBC, CMP, Liver Thyroid and Kidney which for the average Joe is fine. But when chronic pain is present it’s common for any symptom to just be brushed off as part of your pain. Lyme disease can occur and they never be a rash. I was tested 3 times per my request since that’s a blood test that often shows negative when it’s actually a positive. Do a bit of research on extra blood work so you can be much more proactive with your Doctor. I am on Enbrel so I get full blood work and more extensive labs for my liver and kidney to catch any possible damage being done as soon as possible. Hope you feel better soon __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

Saw my pdoc Thursday. Told him about at the stress at work and the fact I'm tired crabby and cranky lately. I was concerned my antidepressants might be pooping out. I don't feel depressed though. He told me that any person under the kind of stress I mentioned would be crabby and cranky.
I do what I do because I want to help "my kids". It used to be that was the goal of the agency I work for and the people I work with. Everything is about numbers now. One more year 'til I can retire. I'm more than ready. |

I started a thread on the social forum to acknowledge what I've accomplished while I'm home. I tend to get down on myself for what didn't get done rather than acknowledging what I got done.
I did stuff that was very physical the last two days. I'm trying to stick to less physical stuff today. |

Thanks RV. I'm pretty ok ne to beating myself up when I don't do enough, and there's never "enough". Fibro and CFS leave me drained so often. I wanted to focus on what I've done instead of what I didn't do.

Yesterday I woke up literally crying out in pain, I was barely able to get from bed to chair to bathroom. I couldn’t even take a deep breath and I was frantic.
I’m so grateful today is just a tiny bit better, least I can take a deep breath Gentle hugs __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

I must have done too much the last few days, either that or it's the storm out in the Gulf. Dragged myself out of bed this morning exhausted and sore. In keeping with my decision to focus on staying positive I've given myself the day off. Going to spend the day on the sofa with a book.
