My meeting with Social Security (Psych Eval) is today. I'm pretty sure it will also involve the impact my physical health issues are having on my emotional health.

I'm a bit anxious because so much has gone wrong with my physical health that I'm afraid I'll pforget something important that needs to be discussed pertaining thereto.

On top of all that I'm still hurting right badly and when I'm hurting like this it's difficult to pfocus and concentrate on much else other than that.

So please keep me in your thoughts & prayers ...

Thanks!

Thank you @lizardlady!

I did make and take a list, but never even had to pull it out of my pocket.

We talked a pfew minutes about my physical health issue, how rapidly I've declined since the allergic reaction to the antibiotic in 2009, and the impact that all this has had on my mental health.

I told her it was quite devastating to lose my ability to do all the things I love including my job, walks at the botanical garden, fishing, etc. I also told her I worried where I'd be in another 3-5 years and how I'd hoped to be able to make it until I was 65 before I had to quit work, and that this definitely wasn't what I wanted nor how I had envisioned spending my "golden" years.

She was quite empathetic regarding my plight and stated that she'd do everything in her power to see that my claim gets approved.

It was nice to pfinally hear a professional emphatically state HOW COULD IT NOT ... Meaning there's no way someone can live in this kind of chronic physical pain & continued loss of pfunction and it not have an impact on their mental health.

So here's hoping I hear something here before too long.

I'll be sure to keep you posted and let you know as soon as I do.

Thanks Again!

Happy International Womxn’s Day!
Unfortunately, I feeling worse than yesterday and was not able to participate in any awareness runs or walks. This sinus infection has my throat sore, I feel very fatigued, runny nose and my Hereditary Angioedema decided to flare up as well.

Weather has been mild which has been helpful for the fibro symptoms but tomorrow rain. I can already tell the difference in the weather and my muscles and joints are hurting.

It seems that each time I have a sinus infection or respiratory infection it triggers both of my rare diseases. Fibromyalgia Check-In Thread #6 ...Fibromyalgia Check-In Thread #6 ...Fibromyalgia Check-In Thread #6 ...

Thursday, March 11th 2021- I have my consultation with my new immunologist. I have my fingers crossed Fibromyalgia Check-In Thread #6 ... that he will be a provider that listens.

Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria- I’ve tried several antihistamines over the years and the only one that works for CIU is hydroxyzine...unfortunately it’s a sedative.

Xolair is not a good match for me...it’s too risky in regards to the side effects and other autoimmune diseases that I have.

Hereditary Angioedema-I have one Firazyr injection remaining. My previous immunologist did not feel comfortable prescribing me a preventative medication. He said, the side effects were too much for my health.

I’m having a day of extreme frustration.

I’m tired of itchy chronic hives, not regular hives that feel like my skin is on fire Fibromyalgia Check-In Thread #6 ... covering my whole body and face.

I’m tired of my face, feet and hands looking like I was jumped into a gang.

I’m also tired of fatigue, sore throat and runny nose.

I’m tired of having so many chronic illnesses that finding treatments is difficult.

I’m also so hurt that I’ve lost multiple family members. The grief is so real. I know my ancestors are in my corner and watching over me but the pain of missing my family members hurts deeply.

I’ve been continuing to eat Fibromyalgia Check-In Thread #6 ... fresh fruits, vegetables, drinking a lot of water and non-caffeine herbal teas. Hoping this sinus infection will pass which would calm my flare ups. I purchased a new Fibromyalgia cookbook. I’m looking forward to feeling better and being able to cook the recipes.
