((( @lizardlady ))) ...

That was a good reply, and hopefully it encourages them to educate themselves further regarding the condition. It amazes me how insensitive, dismissive, cruel & downright rude some people can be when it comes to the suffering of others!

The person I replied to was complaining their friend with CFS forgot to call them. I wanted to say "well pick up the damned phone and call them!"

Good thing this happened yesterday. I'm having a flare today, whole body hurts and my attitude sucks. I'd be likely to rip their head off today.

I did a little Spring Cleaning ...

Now I'm in so much pain I can't hardly move.

My other hip is starting to bark at me too ...

I'm about ready & willing to be taken out behind the barn & put out of my misery!

It scares me, what the future holds.

Damn this Psoriatic Arthritis!

I’m dealing with a giant flare of my psoriatic arthritis due to my insurance refusing to cover Zeljanz that’s worked amazingly well for over 2 years. Started Skyrizi 7 weeks ago and it’s not helping anything. I have huge plaques on scalp and hairline and joints are on fire. Hurry up and wait nonsense. The only thing that might help me is a combo of Tylenol and Aleve daily.

Hope you find relief soon

I'm so sorry you're having to deal with all that @~Christina ...

I think it's wrong that insurance gets to say what kind of treatments we're allowed.

The system is broken & needs to be fixed, but I don't see that happening in our lifetime!

In the meantime, it's almost as if they enjoy making us suffer ...

The Sorry Bastids!

Hello all. I need to whine....

I posted in the pets forum about my dog BG dying. It was an emotional and physical nightmare. I ended up pushing my body beyond its limits. I knew at the time I would pay the price, but felt I had to take care of him. Sure enough it triggered my fibro and CFS. I hurt all over and just want to sleep 24/7.

Add to that I decided to go out in the world without a mask. Now I have an upper respiratory infection. This is the second time I've decided to not wear a mask and got sick. I tested negative for Covid. It's a pain old infection, still I feel even more like chit. Needless to say I'm back to wear a mask if I leave the house since we catch this kind of crap the same way we get Covid.

Thanks for listening while I whinge. I hope live finds all of you doing the best you can.

I'm sorry you lost your furry four-legged friend @lizardlady ...

The flare, pain & repiratory infection sucks too!

I don't consider it whining ...

I consider it unburdening one's self.

Thank goodness MSF allows a safe place for us to do just that!

This is not fibro, but is pain. I spent the last two days cutting down trash tress near the barn and hauling them away. Arthritis has my knees screaming obscenities at me today. *sigh*

I've just been newly diagnosed with fibromyalgia and trying to learn.
I have very bad reactions to most medications so chose not to take any of the first line treatment meds.

I am considering an anti-seizure as I've taken it before and did ok

Are there any alternatives to Lyrica or gabapentin?

I have been waiting for over 2 weeks for this brochure from a specialist chair company (they provide chairs custom to the support you need), but I still don't have it

I've rang several times, and the nice woman at the other end is like oh.. we've sent it we've sent it, it must be a delay in the UK post- nbut other things have arived fine.

turns out, I looked them up and read reviews on them, and apparently they have a lot of unhappy customers- one person even said she got stolen from

so maybe I'll just leave it and find somewhere else- though I imagine not many places like that exist in the UK

I got stung by a wasp two separate times last week. I am just feeling unwell since the second one. Anyone know if wasp stings can effect fibro or CFS?

Ouch! Sorry about that @lizardlady ...

I'm no expert, but I'd think stings could possibly impact either of those conditions.

There's also the possibility of allergic reactions to those types of stings, so ...

Be sure to monitor yourself for that in case you get stung again in the future.

But let's hope there are no future stings - allergies or not, they just plain suck!

Thanks for this!

So what meds have the least amount of side effects? I read somewhere that having adverse reaction to medication as a symptom of fibromyalgia. And always happens to me

Hope you're doing well @lizardlady ...

I'm about to make another concession ...

I hate doing that because it means being one step closer to no longer being independent!

Gonna have to find someone to come in once or twice a month to vacuum & do a little light cleaning.

I simply can't do it anymore ...

Pflower, maybe you can put a positive spin on it. My mom hired someone to do the same for her when she turned 70. The way she framed it was that she retired from housework instead of not being able to do it anymore.

Yeah ...

I like the way that sounds better @lizardlady ...

The guy I rent from says he and his wife will do it for me.

I'm okay with that too ...

Better to have people you know helping out than people you don't know.

I'm funny about who I let up in my personal space!

I like the idea of giving them the money for it too ...

They can use it around the farm & to help out with Benny's school needs.
