So i am only 20, 21 in june and i was just diagnoised with fibromyalgia. the pain started 5 months ago just in a couple spots and is now my whole body. It is very hard. i can't even get out of bed by myself half the time. My doctor put me on a pill she said would help the pain and i found out it is an anti depressant. those pills never work or make me sick. we'll see if it takes the pain away even though it is not a pain pill. sigh. i am supposed to have many more years on my life so i need to be pain free or able to function. Anyone with fibro.? And if so what helps you?

Pain is pain and it is debilitating. I am not qualified to speak to this but DOC JOHN, can you help us find a pain specialist to visit here who knows about compliments to western medicine and pain management? I think it would be so helpful. Pain pills are an inadequate, stinky option. Lets find someone qualified to speak to accupunture, nutrition, herbs, P.T. and everything else available out there? Please Doc, can you help us?

I'm in my 20s too and also have fibromyalgia. Aside from pain medications, I try to exercise regularly. I attend water aerobic classes that are really helpful. The pool is about the only place where my pain levels are close to zero.

Some question this form of treatment, but I have also benefited from regular chiropractic care. I've been seeing my chiropractor about a year and a half now. I currently see her about every 3 weeks or so. When I first started it was a lot more frequent.

I am 22, and at 21 I was diagnosed with atrial-fibrillation. I can tell you it seems crippling to be diagnosed with something at such a seemingly heathy young age.
