I am on Lyrica right now along with desipramine for depression and xanax for PTSD panic attacks. I think my depression is worsening from the Lyrica---has a black box warning.

The problem is that the pain will come back, but that I think I can handle with a stretching/exercise program. What scares me the most is have the 2-7 day migraines and the pain and balance problems they caused.

It has been a tough, tough year and more....Not sure I could face being that disabled again--using a cane and in so much pain from migraines. Just my life as it is right now.

I sure feel for you - I have fibromyalgia, migraines, ptsd, and chronic fatigue syndrome myself.

Have you tried any triptans for the migraines? Amerge works well for me, because it isn't generic I'm only allowed 9 tablets per month on medicaid, but when I have them, they help immensely.

A stretching exercise program sounds great! I handle pain levels with gentle exercise, distraction, and hot baths. I've arranged my life (I'm fully disabled and on SSI) to minimize the effects of pain and fatigue, I'm never fully free of it but do manage sometimes to take the edge off. A wise doc once told me that the goal is exactly that: to take the edge off, not necessarily to remove the pain entirely (although that would be nice).

I've been curious how folks are doing on lyrica. I've decided to not take it as I don't need even more fatigue and grogginess. Fibro-Migraines-Spinal Arthritis

Sure can be interesting to have to weigh out the benefits and detriments to various treatments isn't it?

Good luck to you, hope you catch a break from those migraines. I'm currently in menopause and hoping that maybe once I'm post menopausal I'll be post migraine too! Fibro-Migraines-Spinal Arthritis
