Post = Message.
Series of messages and replies on one topic = Thread.

You can post messages in a public forum, or send as Private Messages. The ones in a forum are public; Private Messages are only to the people you send them to, not public.

Everyone is subject to moderation at first. I seem to remember that that's supposed to last until they have 5 posts on the board. I've found the moderation here consistently fair and gentle, so it seems unlikely that anything of yours was rejected. Some of the posts you couldn't find might still have been in the pipeline when you looked for them.

One thing to beware of (I don't know if this is going to be a problem for you) is writing out a post, clicking "Preview", seeing it in "print" the way you wanted it -- and going to a different page w/o ever clicking "Submit".

If you want to see everything you've posted, go to your profile (click on your username pretty much anywhere it shows up as a link), click the "Statistics" tab, and click on "Find all posts by RubyRedd". You may already have figured that out. I get the impression that you're finding your way around just fine by now, and in good company too. Let me be the latest to say...

I think that you will learn your way around with a little time and practice

Post here when you run into stumbling blocks or if you have a question and there are many who will be glad to respond to you. Also you may find reading the FAQ helpful and informative.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
