Hmmmm - perhaps the person who set up the blog has the choice to accept or reject comments. They only want to let their views known but not have them challenged. Good luck Paddy.

Hi paddy
![]() I've run into the same problem with certain blogs. It's frustrating when the person is confused and asking a lot of questions. It's particularly frustrating when I think I may have an explanation that might help them to understand. Maybe some are using their blogs for their own personal use to help them understand themselves and the world around them better. Maybe they feel a need to do it on their own, without interference. All we can do is watch from a distance and wish them well in their self-exploration. If they need our help, I'm sure they know where to turn. |

Well, if these blogs are from here, the users get the option to moderate their comments, (either approve or delete them, and I think you can also block comments but I don't remember how) it can be frustrating if you have questions but if you know who the user is who has the blog you could always try pming them your questions or something

Or start your own blog and post an entry about how frustrating it is not to be able to comment on some of these blogs, LOL!

Some of the better implementations of that feature offer ways around it, like clicking somewhere for a fresh set of distorted characters or clicking somewhere else to hear them read to you. If it's one of the blogs I'm thinking of, though, there's no obvious way around that pothole so all you can do is come back later and hope it offers you an easier target. I've never had a PC blog so I don't know if there are settings for blocking certain responders, nor what the responder would see if there were. I guess you could find out by starting your own blog. I don't know what the rules are about blog duels -- posting your comments in your own blog and linking them to the one you're replying to. |
