Why is the smiley not aligned correctly?

I am really in the mood to use this smiley tonight. I never use this smiley because I usually don't feel 'argh' and because it does not align properly with the text, like this so it makes all the rest of the paragraph look sloppy. I've never come across another smiley that does this, and I wondered if it was intentional, if it could be fixed or if is just

See - the doesn't do that. Or the . Even the . They all stay nice and aligned with the rest of the text on the line. It looks so much better.
Even the puts a little space between this line and the line above since it is so big, but at least it is centered with the text.

If it is because of his little arm waving could it at least be centered with the text?
Or maybe that is part of the ARGH smiley - having to feel like when you see how the smiley has messed up your nice neat paragraphs.
Thanks for this!

It is aligned correctly, taking into consieration the entire smiley, which includes the dialogue balloon above the red smiley. It's not very noticable because it is white, but it's there.
So when you look at the whole thing, dialogue balloon included, it is centered with some above the line of type, and some below.

Oh my goodness - I never even noticed that before. What's the point of the dialogue balloon when it is all but invisible? I can barely make out the outline of the balloon when I really try. I can not see what it says at all, can you?

So in that case, can the dialogue balloon be changed to a different color so that it can be SEEN? I'm sorry. It just really bothers me.

lol. It has a running strip of symbols, like when a cartoon uses symbols %#&! for swearing.

darkrunner, I will Argh with you about the Argh. The white stuff seems to me to be superfluous.

darkrunner, what color is your background? Mine (the default PC color scheme, I guess) is a yellowish beige and the white "balloon" does show up reasonably well against it. I usually keep my monitor set a bit darker than standard, though.

Sabrina, that smiley has looked like that for as long as I remember it. Of course, you've been here longer than I have.
Thanks for this!

Ok, I just seem to remember the balloon appearing before, and I have the default skin. Always have. No biggie, just wondering.

Thanks all.

I feel a little calmer about the argh smiley now.
It would still make me happy if it could be changed.
Sabrina - you are right about the soapbox smiley. If the arg smiley dialog balloon could just be changed to be black like the soapbox smiley, it would be so much better. I don't understand the purpose of the white font. To me, white signifies more gentle and kinder feelings, and 'argh' obviously does not qualify there. Who knows...

I am using the Default forum skin. The background is white so the balloon is hardly visible. I can barely make out the shape of the balloon, and I can't see the text at all. You'd think that it would be easier to see using the 'default' skin of the forum. I guess I could change the skin. It just seems like an awful lot of trouble for one smiley.

Thanks JD!!!! That is very nice of you. I could probably get used to one of these smileys. I think the forth one is the most applicable to how I was feeling, although it doesn't have the little fist shaking in the air, and I really liked that part.

Thank you TheByzantine. It's nice to not have to ARGH all by myself.
