Hi folks,

Due to a security-needed upgrade, we have to upgrade our blogging software for Psych Central members who blog at http://psychcentral.net/

This blog upgrade is occurring right now and will take a few hours. Your blog may be inaccessible during this time. When the upgrade is completed, you will be blogging on the newest version of Wordpress which offers easier blogging and more features.

When the new blogging software is in place, you will have to choose a new template for your blog. The old templates will no longer be available. Everyone will have a default template, however, so you can do this in your own convenient time.

Blogs at Psych Central are one of the many free member benefits we're happy to provide! Sorry for the short notice of this upgrade.

Best,
DocJohn

My blog still appears to be running on 1.2.5 . How long until my blog will show that it's been updated?

It should be sometime today if all goes well. We're doing most of the work in the background in order to keep the blogs running. I'll update this thread when something changes and we're live with the 3.x version. Thanks!

Due to the great work of our developer, the blogs were not offline at all!

They've been updated to the latest version of Wordpress. Enjoy!!

Is the requirement of a google account new? I don't have one and don't plan on obtaining still another way to be tracked and traced. (No, I don't even use google search unless I'm pulling my hair out with the other search engines.)

Pegusus, here's my reply to your lastest blog entry (can't post it since I won't join google. )

Quote:
"Numerous studies have indicated that many patients who experience chronic pain (up to 100%) tend also to be clinically depressed (8-10). In fact, depression is the most common psychiatric diagnosis in patients with chronic pain (11). The experience of progressive, consistent chronic pain and disability also translates for many individuals into having thoughts of suicide as a means of ending their pain and frustration (12)." http://www.ptsd.va.gov/professional/...-providers.asp

I suffer with chronic pain and symptoms that someone with MS suffers, though I only have one lesion (from a disabling injury.) God bless you for working with some of the most misunderstood victims of a disease. The patient can't figure things out well because symptoms change and appear at "will."

Hey! (JD)

Not sure what you are talking about? I don't have a google account.

Anyway I have been fiddling about with it and signed out and then tried to post a comment and it went through ok. Could you possibly try posting again for me? Pretty please!

Ok did that! It was regarding the "CAPTCHA" coding and perhaps was only for webmasters?

Glad I posted.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
