Is there anyone else just a little bit frustrated when all you want to do is leave a smilie in a post and it bounces because you haven't used enough spaces?

I think the current requirement is 10 spaces. Having to fill that in with ........................... or such is just frustrating to me. It takes longer to post a simple smilie of support because it bounces and then you have to edit it and submit it again.

could just be me.

Any way this could be adjusted to allow maybe 4 spaces as a default?

I think the original reason for requiring 10 character posts is to limit "posts" where "nothing" is said. It looks harmless but is not; look at a post box, all the information that is there, your name, avatar, poster information, signature, color, text, etc. choices. Those require "space" and space costs money and you want me to scan through three+ inches of all that for a smilie?

We have the "Thanks" button if we like or agree with something someone else besides the OP has said, thanking them for posting what they did, I would think 10 characters would not be too much to ask to post to an OP on a post they've made that is longer than that? If you have nothing of your own to say; don't say it!

Well, yes.

If space is a problem, then the window/per person post area could be made smaller... look at all the space used for those icons and profile info under the name, for instance.

Maybe it could be adjusted for just the game forum then, at least.

And maybe when I don't know someone, and can't give anything more than a hug smilie, I just won't give any support after a while because I'm so frustrated.

For technical reasons, this is not going to change any time soon. Sorry.

OK....

HOW ABOUT THIS ONE?

I know we can send a bulk message to all members of the Community Team (or is that just admin?) anyway....

Is there some way it could be fixed so we can send a bulk PM to all on our "friends" list?

Sigh. Doesn't matter anyway, since so many of my posts disappear. I'm trying to stop posting, really I am. It's not MY fault the place is addicting.

JD, how about giving the person a hug the way pachyderm did Fuzzybear? That wa you give a hug and meet the character minimum.
