Not at all sure if others know this if they have forgotten or lost thei password to logging in to windows. Here is what I have found out from Microsoft. When the screen is booting up, keep tapping F8 and go into safe mode. Once in safe mode go to start> run>type in control userpasswords2 and this will send you to the accounts screen. Their you can re-set your password and then reboot and loging with the new passowrd. Also, for future troubles with this, make a password recovery disk just in case you forget it again.

Go to Microsoft and type in newsgroups and a list should come up telling you what all the different newsgroups ther are. Like Outlook/Outlook Express, messenger, Windows XP General, New users and alot more. They have sent me to a web page from Microsoft that tell you just how to go through the process. Maybe type in forgotten password at Microsoft.
