I would like to upgrade my old computer Windows 98(se) to a better mother board that will be able to run Windows XP on it and to play RPG online.

What do I need to buy to make this happen..........................?

OK - this is the only reply that I recieved in PM concerning this matter...... therefore, I will go with it, for that is what I thought to.

REPLY: Windows XP in itself would probably run on your current PC with some more RAM.

Yeah I have XP on my new computer and just wanted to upgrade the old computer so that I could place the XP on the old computer for Log In Protection..... I was told to buy a 256MB RAM Stick for the old computer and that should take care of it.

buy the memory stick of ebay rhap, it will be a lot cheaper than buying new, it should cost you about $25-30 dollars at most for a 256mb stick and if there is space leave the old stick in situ

Thanks Mellor.................... and YES I will look on Ebay for the Ram Stick for I have purchased other items for the old computer off there - for no one really makes any thing for the old computer any more.
And YES.... I think there is still a space for me to leave the old 128MB in and just add the 256MB to the pile.

I'm curious about this, as my old computer won't go to xp...in fact it won't even go to win 98
