I am being constantly disconnected from logging into the chat rooms. If it accepts me...no rooms show in the options list, then I am disconnected agian and if I try to log back in, it says I am already in there. I have to shut down the webpage, come backin to log in again, then I try to go into chat, and I get disconnected again. Is anybody else having this issue?

I'm new so I can't say one way or another, as I have not acquired enough posts to join chats.

I was disconnected from a chat room twice yesterday. I have a slow connection speed that I have talked to my ISP about that may be the source of the problem.

The problem is indeed on a user's end, not ours. If it were on our end, everyone would be experiencing the issue all the time.
I find when I have to connect from a slower speed network or what-not, it does seem to disconnect more often. When I'm on any of my regular Internet connections at home or work, I never experience a problem. This is one of those issues we can't do much about, unfortunately.

I had problems accessing the site yesterday. My connection fell, but when i reconnected I wasn't able to log in the forums and chat, everything else run smoothly. And I had the same problem as Ingrid actually, and I was connected at the moment. Other sides were loading, the chat was not.

Some ISPs are more helpful than others about connection speed issues. I've found quite a few articles on the subject online, some apparently written by an ISP for their own customers but accessible to everyone. Here's one; here's another. I'm sorry to say they do get pretty technical in places. I'm a nerd so I don't mind, but probably not everyone will want to dig into the subject quite that deeply. In theory the way out of dialup probems is to go to DSL, cable, or satellite but those seem to come with their own problems, not to mention costs. So far, whenever my phone line has acted up it's always gotten better after a few hours or (at most) days. |

Cside, you only need 5 posts to come into live chat, so i hope to see you there soon. i see a lot of people getting disconnected frequently, it's hard to have a chat with them sometimes, they bounce so much.... in all fairness, about half of them are outside the U.S., don't know if that matters,, i try to help with cookie settings and such, but that doesn't always help, either... best wishes to all you bouncers~~~ Gus
