I was trying to search out a Word Craze game that fully worked, to see what it was like (the one here won't score on most words on 2nd and 3rd pages) and I found the above...google search btw. (I generally don't use google but Yahoo had nothing on this for me.)

Is this by design DocJohn?

Thanks, I didn't even know we had an arcade :-)

I think everything on PsychCentral is searchable, everywhere, it's a "public" site:

I didn't know the Arcade is searched....

Hmmm it didn't used to be searchable at all and that was a difference and a plus for the site, imo...guess I missed that memo.

Think it's been searchable for a few years now....remember finding something on one of my searches & wondering the same thing. This is a public site.....& because of that, ends up being open for searching.

Interesting as I searched on my userid....'eskielover'.....there are so many eskie lover things out there regarding my american eskimo dogs that I get lost in all that noise....never did find anything having to do with my userid (thought that was what I had searched on before when I found myself in the search).

What I've mostly found in the way of Google hits on Psych Central posts has been archived copies that look like this:

Over the long run, however, the medical profession has been manifestly unable to improve recovery outcomes for patients suffering from mental illness. The first time I tried a medication for a mental disorder occurred in the winter of 1967. Since then, I have tried many more. In addition, I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on therapy. Within the last ten years, I have been told I have a treatment resistant illness....
The "View Full Version" link does, however, take you to the actual post if it's in a forum that you have access to.

I got a whole page of hits from Googling [eskielover "forums at psych central"], all apparently archived posts referring to you in some way.

I'll omit the links and most of the formatting this time:

NOTHING on the internet is private.

I'm not speaking from personal experience, but an ex-friend of mine is a hacker, and a not so advanced one. She has no problem getting info off the net...even secure info. It makes me nervous, but A) I don't have anything to hide, and B) I don't put anything on the internet that I would be ashamed of my Grandmother seeing.

I thought the difference was that the main site was searchable but the forums were not searchable.

Everything on the site is searchable. While that may have not always been the case (many years ago), it was updated when we realized people were not finding our support groups online.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
