I selected "no email notifications" within control panel, but I'm still receiving them (concerning new posts to threads). Should this be an instantly effective change, or does it take some days to enact?

I'm wondering if you turned off email notification for PM's, but you are still 'subscribed' to threads or forums, so you are getting notifications about them.

Here are the instructions for changing that, snipped from Community Feedback & Technical Support > Tutorials & How-To's > Subscribing to Threads You're Interested in Following:
Quote:
Locate the My Profile link at the upper left of any forums page.

Still getting email notifications

Click it and it'll take you to a page titled "User Control Panel". In the left (Your Control Panel) column, scroll down to the Subscribed Threads section, and click on the List Subscriptions link.

Still getting email notifications

The page you get will show all your subscribed threads, active or not, and will also let you delete subscriptions or change how you get notified of new posts.
The page layout has changed since I took those screen shots. The "My Profile" button is still in the same place but it may not say "Community" above it any more.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
