First, you are not dumb about computers--- I wouldn't know the first thing about what you are asking either-- many others probably don't know either.

I'm thinking if you posted this in tech support-- you might get more responses-- just an idea.....

I do know there is a very kind and sweet member that has made several siggies for other members-- she is very talented.

nope don't buy anything! for my avatar I go looking on the www for free use, non copyrighted pics I like... my siggy is compliments of MP but another has also volunteered to give me one they made...
